Mike began his insurance career in 1982 with Dickson Insurance Agency, purchasing the agency in 1986. His independent agency experience made him an ideal candidate to jointly open Ironpeak's Tennessee operation. Mike’s long-standing carrier relationships have been instrumental in obtaining preferred arrangements with carrier markets in the South. He has been deeply involved with PIA of Tennessee, including serving as a past president and earning the Agent of the Year award in 1996. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University.
