Tom started his career as a customer service representative with Chubb Insurance. He transitioned to marketing and business development before leading Chubb’s growth and distribution of their high net worth personal lines book in upstate NY as AVP Personal Lines Manager. Previous to Ironpeak, he was Business Development Regional Manager with Markel, responsible for the growth and distribution of their small commercial and specialty products in New England. All his experience is in the independent agency retail channel. He works with Members in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Tom shares a business lesson he has learned while working at Ironpeak: "Short term growth at the expense of profitability is a recipe for disaster in the network space. The superior performance of our Members over the last nearly 50 years has, in turn, generated superior compensation for them. Identifying prospects who believe in a meritocracy model further encourages this behavior which leads to our continued growth and buy in from our carrier partners.
